When retained by defense counsel under court-approved funding, QUAIIL LLC provides investigative services that are reasonably necessary for the effective representation of criminal defendants in Ohio. Our authorized activities include • Locating and interviewing witnesses and relevant parties • Conducting scene visits, photographic documentation, and environmental assessments • Reviewing, organizing, and interpreting forensic and digital evidence • Performing comprehensive background and credibility checks on witnesses • Assisting counsel in preparing and serving subpoenas or investigative correspondence • Documenting, preserving, and verifying the integrity of physical and digital evidence • Delivering detailed investigative reports directly to defense counsel. All QUAIIL investigative work complies with Ohio law, the Ohio Rules of Criminal Procedure, and professional standards governing licensed private investigators. All services are conducted under the direction of defense counsel, and all findings, communications, and materials are protected by the attorney–client privilege and work-product doctrine. [LIMITATIONS AND COMPLIANCE] QUAIIL investigators do not engage in activities constituting the unauthorized practice of law and do not perform clerical or administrative functions of an attorney's office. All investigative services require judicial authorization confirming that the work is reasonably necessary to the defense and that its absence would prejudice the defendant's right to a fair trial. Detailed records are maintained for all investigative steps and expenses. Information obtained during investigation is used exclusively for the client's legal defense and is not disclosed to any third party without proper authorization. QUAIIL adheres strictly to all discovery and confidentiality restrictions outlined in Ohio Criminal Rule 16(C) and maintains full compliance with data-handling and evidentiary security requirements.
